Remember Bloodspike? There have always been spike teams. However, what people forget is that they eventually die out. Bloodspike was never nerfed, but it's not used anymore.

You know what's funny? Not only do the PvE players want their weekend, the PvP players don't even WANT these. We (at least the majority I know of) don't care/need faction, and know HA is already dead. I'm sure not one person would complain if they just skipped PvP weekends altogether and just did PvE ones.

Bloodspike was free fame. Other than soul reaping, it was not overpowered at all, and was easy to interrupt and/or infuse (really good teams MIGHT be able to spike fast enough to drain your infuser, but not if you applied really good pressure). Ritspike, paragon spike, zergway (in theory, but no one decent runs this, so yea), heroway, etc. etc. are all infinitely more overpowered and more difficult to counter than iway or bloodspike ever were.

No, the fewer PvP weekends, the better. Every weekend makes titles worth a little less and only serve to inflate egos. After this weekend, Fierce Champion is no longer indicative of anything. After the previous weekend, it was Champion. Also, notice that HA rank inflation is occurring, expedited by the weekend events.
I'm sure you'd find many happy PvPers if they got rid of these weekends altogether.
And before you say "Well you don't really PvP then," know that you're talking to a core Warrior from Error Seven Operators [Call], currently ranked 22 on the ladder. That isn't a brag, just a way to show that I am, in fact, an experienced PvPer.

The fewer the PvP weekend, the happier the pvp-ers are.
The more the PvE weekend, the happier the pve-ers are.
So, I would rather see more weekend events for PvE and not PvP. This is making PvP-Only titles worthless.

/signed. I came back after quitting from 6v6, and skipped the second double fame weekend. I now find my rank ridiculously inadequate and find myself swamped with absolutely horrible players of the same rank bracket. Granted before I quit, I understood that pugs sucked and was a much better player than my rank, but could still find decent players 30-50% of the time... but now it's just ridiculous, and after this third weekend, balanced players who don't already have rank 10 or so are going to be left in the dust.

QFT
While I always try to abuse them to their fullest when I only get the time (for example 1100 fame during the first double weekend) I don't like them, they hurt the meaning of the titles badly.
And we desperately need a skill balance update before this weekend. Seeing another Oliasway makes me want to vomit, and this weekend will bring all gimmicks to the extreme.

How about fixing the problems first ( why don't you read what PVP players think about you in Gladiator;s Arena, or QQ forums ), then make silly weekends no one wants. Anet fails again.

The few builds that we will most likely face.
In Number 1 spot : Olias + Master Of Whisper Team
2 : Rit Spike
3 : Paragon Spike
4 : Ranger Spike
...
Last but not least, in last place : Balanced
And guess what, most of the Olias + Master of Whisper teams will be formed by PvE-ers.

I think more ranked players will be playing heroway. Whether they like the build or hate it, its easy/fast fame and if you're good you'll win on KC against the other scrubs trying to run it.
And the number of rank 9s who are actually good at GW will decline, yet again.....

That's very wise devs. Now, whenever we say that you don't care about tombs you'll say "Hey, we gave you a weekend!".
Once, you showed some respect to the players. I'll say RIP to that.

It won't be that easy to get fame, a lot of good players will be very active this weekend (those that haven't quit).

Titles were worthless before any double fame/champ/gladiator weekends. That said I think these events are pretty bad.
